What can I do if I can’t pair my watch with my phone

If you’re having issues connecting your watch and phone, please begin by making sure that your phone's OS version is compatible (Android 6.0+ and iOS 10.0+) and that the Wear OS by Google app is up-to-date.

Then, check if you have activated Bluetooth on your phone, disable, and re-enable it.
For iOS users only, check the Bluetooth permission status of the Wear OS by Google app: On your iPhone go to Settings > Wear OS by Google > and then enable Bluetooth.

Once you have checked the above, try pairing your watch and phone once again. [Hyperlink to Q. that details pairing process]

If the pairing process still doesn't work:

Your phone cannot find your watch
1. Long-press on the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings menu.
2. Tap on Restart the watch.
3. Close the Wear OS by Google app.
4. Open the Wear OS by Google app.
5. Try the pairing process again.

The pairing code is not the same, or the phone/watch cannot access it

For iOS users: Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the information button next to your watch name, on the right-hand side. Then, tap on Forget This Device and confirm.
4. Open the Wear OS by Google app.
5. Try the pairing process again.

The Google account could not synchronize:
1. Check your phone's internet connection.

3. When you get to a reliable Wi-Fi connection, open the Wear OS by Google app:
  a. Check that the watch is connected:
  b. Swipe to the bottom of the page and go to Advanced settings.
  c. Tap on Account on your watch.
d.Tap on Add account and follow the instructions, keep the Wear OS by Google app open in the foreground while copying your account to the watch for faster execution.
