What can I do if I can’t pair my watch with my phone
If you’re having issues connecting your watch and phone, please begin by making sure that your phone's OS version is compatible (Android 6.0+ and iOS 10.0+) and that the Wear OS by Google app is up-to-date.
Then, check if you have activated Bluetooth on your phone, disable, and re-enable it.
For iOS users only, check the Bluetooth permission status of the Wear OS by Google app: On your iPhone go to Settings > Wear OS by Google > and then enable Bluetooth.
Once you have checked the above, try pairing your watch and phone once again. How do I pair the watch with my phone?
If the pairing process still doesn't work:
Your phone cannot find your watch
1. Long-press on the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings menu.
2. Tap on Restart the watch.
3. Close the Wear OS by Google app.
4. Open the Wear OS by Google app.
5. Try the pairing process again.
The pairing code is not the same, or the phone/watch cannot access it
1. Long-press on the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings menu.
2. Tap on Restart the watch.
3. Close the Wear OS by Google app.
For iOS users: Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the information button next to your watch name, on the right-hand side. Then, tap on Forget This Device and confirm.
4. Open the Wear OS by Google app.
5. Try the pairing process again.
The Google account could not synchronize:
1. Check your phone's internet connection.
2. If no issue is detected, skip this step to finish the pairing process and follow the steps below to add it later.
3. When you get to a reliable Wi-Fi connection, open the Wear OS by Google app:
a. Check that the watch is connected:
b. Swipe to the bottom of the page and go to Advanced settings.
c. Tap on Account on your watch.
d.Tap on Add account and follow the instructions, keep the Wear OS by Google app open in the foreground while copying your account to the watch for faster execution.
Any other issues
If the steps above did not work or in case of other issues:
1. Reset your watch to factory settings
If you watch is not yet paired (you cannot see a watchface yet on your watch):
a. Long-press the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings.
b. Tap on Disconnect and reset.
c. The watch will restart.
If your watch is paired:
a. From the watchface, swipe down to open the Quick settings screen.
b. Tap on the setting icon at the top of the screen.
c. Tap on System > Tap on Disconnect and reset.
d. The watch will restart.
2. iOS users only
On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the information button next to your watch name, on the right-hand side. Then, tap on Forget This Device and confirm. This operation is required to avoid causing problems every time you begin a pairing process.
3. Open the Wear OS by Google app.
4. Tap on the menu icon on the top left corner and then tap on Set up a new watch.
5. Pair again by following the pairing process.
