1- What does the Formula 1® experience include?
The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 x Formula 1® Edition offers a dedicated Formula 1 experience with several exclusive elements:
- Formula 1® watch faces
- A Formula 1® app on the watch
- A Formula 1® widget
- Formula 1®-inspired visuals and sounds
These features are exclusive to the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5 x Formula 1® Edition.
2- How often are Formula 1® information and results updated?
Formula 1® data is updated automatically:
- When the watch starts
- When the Formula 1® application is opened on the watch
- Every 6 hours, without any user action
Opening the application allows you to trigger a data update before the next scheduled refresh.
Note: During a Grand Prix weekend
Official Formula 1® results and weekend events are updated approximately every hour.
As a result, a slight delay may occur before results are displayed after the end of a session.
3- What does the Race Track Formula 1® watch face display?
The Race Track Formula 1® watch face displays information related to the current Grand Prix or the next Grand Prix on the calendar.
The watch face includes:
- The Grand Prix circuit
- A digital time display in the Grand Prix colors
- A gauge showing the progress of the race weekend
- A seconds indicator moving along the circuit
5- When does the Race Track Formula 1® watch face switch to the next Grand Prix?
During the Formula 1® season, the Race Track watch face automatically updates to display the next Grand Prix.
The update occurs automatically at the end of the day following the race, based on the user’s time zone.
This means the switch timing may vary depending on the region.
Example: Grand Prix held on Sunday at 3:00 PM (local track time).
- For a user in Europe → the watch face updates on Monday night at midnight.
- For a user in another time zone (e.g., the United States) → the watch face updates on Sunday night at midnight.
6- How does the gauge work on the Race Track watch face?
The gauge helps visualize the progress of the Grand Prix weekend.
It changes state depending on the weekend sessions:
- Before the weekend events begin → the gauge appears grey
- When a weekend event is in progress, or during the day of a session → the gauge changes color
- After the race → the gauge appears complete
This makes it easy to quickly identify where you are in the race weekend.
7- Race Track Formula 1® gauge: standard weekend vs Sprint weekend
The gauge on the Race Track watch face reflects the progression of the Grand Prix weekend sessions.
A Sprint weekend is a specific Grand Prix format where the session schedule differs from a standard weekend. Some practice sessions are removed and replaced by a Sprint Race, a shorter race held before the main race.
On a standard weekend, the gauge progresses normally through the sessions:
- Free Practice (FP1, FP2, FP3)
- Qualifying (Q1, Q2, Q3)
- Race
On a Sprint weekend, some usual sessions do not take place. In this case:
- The gauge shows FP1
- Since FP2 and FP3 do not exist, the gauge remains unchanged during that period
- Progress then resumes at the next displayed session: Qualifying
As a result, there may be a period where the gauge stays stable until the next session.
8- What does the Formula 1® widget display?
The widget displays different information depending on the stage of the season:
Before a Grand Prix
- Grand Prix name
- Weekend dates
- Race time
During the race weekend
- Results of the last session
- Information about the next session
After the Grand Prix
- Race results
- Podium
- Dates of the next Grand Prix
End of season
- Previous season results
9- What can you do with the Formula 1® app on the watch?
The Formula 1® app provides access to several sections:
- Grand Prix calendar
- Session results
- Driver standings
- Team standings
Users can browse all Grand Prix events of the season and view detailed session results.
10- Are the displayed times shown in the Grand Prix time zone?
The displayed times are adjusted to the user’s time zone to make it easier to read upcoming events.
11- Troubleshooting
Why doesn’t my watch face show the next Grand Prix yet?
The watch face updates the day after the Grand Prix ends, depending on the user’s time zone.
If the change is not visible yet:
- Wait for the automatic update
- Open the Formula 1® app to trigger an update
Why don’t Grand Prix results appear immediately?
Results depend on the data received by the servers.
During a Grand Prix weekend:
- Servers check for new data approximately every hour
- There may therefore be a slight delay before results appear on the watch
Opening the Formula 1® app may help speed up synchronization.
Why can the message “No GP data available” appear?
This message may appear when:
- The watch has no connection
- Data is not available yet
- Synchronization is in progress
Opening the Formula 1® app on the watch allows the data to refresh.
