FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

To ensure the best experience and the security of your TAG Heuer Connected, it is essential to keep the operating system and the apps (TAG Heuer, Google, third-party) up to date. Depending on your watch model (Calibre E1 to E5), the procedure differs. Please find below the steps for each generation.

1- Difference between system and app updates

It is important to distinguish between the operating system update (Wear OS by Google™ for generations E1 to E4, and TAG Heuer OS for generation E5) and the app update (TAG Heuer Golf, TAG Heuer Sports, TAG Heuer Wellness, TAG Heuer Watch Faces, etc.).

System update: This concerns the entire operating system of the watch. It allows you to integrate the latest system versions and improve performance, security, and compatibility.
App update: This concerns only the installed apps (TAG Heuer, Google, third-party) and brings new features or specific fixes to each app.

Automatic updates: App updates are performed automatically when the watch is connected to the TAG Heuer Connected app (and/or Wear OS by Google™, depending on the model), to Wi-Fi, and when both Google and TAG Heuer accounts are connected.

2- Update the system and apps on Calibre E5

On TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E5, the operating system and the apps are updated from the same place, directly on the watch:

Open your watch’s Settings.
Select "General".
Select "Updates" and then "Update all" if updates are available.

Automatic app updates:
- Connect your watch to Wi-Fi.
- Make sure you are connected to the TAG Heuer Connected app.
- Place the watch on its charger overnight: the updates will be performed automatically.

Updating the TAG Heuer Connected mobile app:

On Android: via the Play Store.
On Apple: via the App Store.

3- Update the system and apps on Calibre E4

For TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4, please use the TAG Heuer Connected E3/E4 mobile app and make sure your Google account is connected.

To update the watch system:

Go to the Settings of the watch.
Go to System then Update to check and install available updates.

To update TAG Heuer apps:

Open the Play Store on the watch.
Go to Manage my apps to install available updates.

Automatic app updates:

Connect your watch to Wi-Fi.
Connect to your "E3/E4 TAG Heuer Connected" app.
Make sure to add your Google account, otherwise updates will not be possible.
Place the watch on its charger overnight.

Updating the E3/E4 TAG Heuer Connected mobile app:

On Android: via the Play Store.
On Apple: via the App Store.

4- Update the system and apps on Calibre E1 to E3

For Calibre E1 to E3 models:

To update the watch system:

Go to the Settings of the watch.
Go to System, then Update to check and install available updates.

To update TAG Heuer apps:

Download and open the Wear OS by Google™ app on your phone (make sure your Google account is connected).
Check for available app updates and install them from the Wear OS by Google™ app.

Automatic update:

Connect the watch and the phone to Wi-Fi.
Make sure your Google account is connected on the Wear OS by Google™ app.
Place the watch on its charger overnight.
