1. What is Health Connect ?

Health Connect is a new service developed by Google that serves as a central hub for health data from various platforms, including the TAG Heuer Connected app.

Health Connect has now replaced Google Fit as a third-party app on Android. To manage Health Connect settings, users must access it through their Android device’s system settings.

2. How do I access Health Connect?

Health Connect acts as a database, to access and manage Health Connect settings, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Android device’s Settings.
  2. Scroll down and select Health Connect.
  3. Review and manage permissions for connected apps.

3. What data can I find in Health Connect?

Only data from the TAG Heuer Sport sessions will be exported. Data from the TAG Heuer Wellness apps, such as daily steps or heart rate, cannot be exported.

4. Why is my data different in the TAG Heuer Connected app compared to Health Connect?

There may be variations in data due to several factors:

  • Data Source: Health Connect imports the sport sessions from our app and uses its own algorithms to display their own data.
  • Permission Settings: If permissions are not granted, data will not synchronize.
  • Sport Profile: If the profile has not been set up, it will use a standard profile.

5. Can I choose which apps share data with Health Connect?

Yes. Health Connect allows users to control data sharing preferences. You can:

  1. Open Health Connect from your device settings.
  2. Navigate to App Permissions.
  3. Select an app and manage the types of data it can access or share.

6. Will Google Fit still work after Health Connect replaces it on the TAG Heuer Connected app?

No, Google has announced that Google Fit will be phased out in June 2025. For this reason, we have already made the change in the TAG Heuer Connected app to welcome Health Connect. Make sure the phone version is Android 9 minimum and the TAG Heuer Connected app version is 3.6.0 or above.

7. Need more information?

To know more about Health Connect, visit Google Developers Blog or Health Connect on Google Fit.

If you experience any issues, check your device’s settings or visit Google’s official support page for further assistance, as we only manage the export of your TAG Heuer Sports data. If the issue concerns the export to the Health Connect tool, please contact TAG Heuer from the Settings of your TAG Heuer Connected app.
