How-to install apps on my connected watch?
Product(s): Calibre E1 to E5.
Third-party applications can be installed on TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E1 to E4 via the Google Play Store. The Calibre E5, however, runs on an in-house operating system called TAG Heuer OS. As a result, third-party applications cannot be downloaded from an app store, as all applications are managed, and pre-installed directly by TAG Heuer.
1- Check Wi-Fi connection
To install apps, your watch must be connected to a private Wi-Fi; a public Wi-Fi won't work as it needs a validation through a web portal.
To check your Wi-Fi connection:
- For Calibre E4 and under: Swipe down on your watch face and tap on the Settings icon > tap on Connectivity > tap on Wi-Fi and view the connection status.
- For Calibre E5: Click on the bottom pusher, then tap on the settings icon > tap on Wi-Fi.
2- Check Google account
- For Calibre E4 and under: To install apps, you need a Google account. If you have a Calibre E3 or previous generation, open the Wear OS by Google™ app on your phone: Scroll down and tap to Advanced Settings Tap on Accounts on your watch Check if your watch is linked to an active Google account. If not, please create a Google account and synchronize it.
- If you have a Calibre E4: To add or manage the Google or TAG Heuer accounts, please go to the TAG Heuer phone app.
- For Calibre E5: The Calibre E5 functions exclusively with TAG Heuer OS, making a Google account unnecessary for accessing all watch features. However, it is essential to create and log in to an account on the dedicated TAG Heuer Connected application for Calibre E5.
