What can I do if I cannot pair my watch with my phone?

This guide provides comprehensive troubleshooting steps for pairing your TAG Heuer Connected smartwatch with your phone. Please follow the instructions relevant to your specific watch model.
1- Initial Checks Before Pairing
Before attempting to pair your watch, ensure the following:
- Phone OS Compatibility:
- Calibre E5: Android 13.0+ and iOS 18.0+
- Calibre E4: Android 8.1 / iOS 15.4
- Calibre E3: Android 6.0 / iOS 12.0
- App Status:
- For watch generations (Calibre E3 and before) that need the Wear OS by Google app to function, please make sure this app is up-to-date.
- Bluetooth:
- Deactivate and then re-enable Bluetooth on your phone.
- For iOS users on Calibre E3 or previous generations: Check the Bluetooth permission status for the Wear OS by Google app. Go to your iPhone's Settings > Wear OS by Google > and then enable Bluetooth.
Once you have completed these checks, please try pairing your watch and phone again. (For detailed pairing instructions, refer to your watch's user manual.)
2- Troubleshooting: Phone Cannot Find Watch
If your phone still cannot find your watch during the pairing process:
- Long-press on the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings menu.
- Tap on Restart the watch.
- Kill and reopen the relevant app:
- For Calibre E3 and previous generations: Wear OS by Google app.
- For Calibre E4, E5 and later generations: TAG Heuer Connected app.
- Try the pairing process again.
3- Troubleshooting: Pairing Code Issues
If the pairing code is incorrect or your phone/watch cannot access it:
- Long-press on the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings menu.
- Tap on Restart the watch.
- Close the relevant app:
- For Calibre E3 and previous generations: Wear OS by Google app.
- For Calibre E4, E5 and later generations: TAG Heuer Connected app.
- For iOS users: Go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the information button (i) next to your watch name, on the right-hand side. Then, tap on Forget This Device and confirm.
- Open the relevant app:
- For Calibre E3 and previous generations: Wear OS by Google app.
- For Calibre E4, E5 and later generations: TAG Heuer Connected app.
- Try the pairing process again.
4- Troubleshooting: Google Account Synchronization (E1, E2, E3 & E4)
For Calibre E4 and previous generations, if your Google account could not synchronize:
- Check your phone's internet connection.
- If no issue is detected, skip this step to finish the pairing process and follow the steps below to add it later.
- When you get to a reliable Wi-Fi connection, open the Wear OS by Google app and/or your TAG Heuer Connected app (E3/E4 only).
For Wear OS by Google :
- Check that the watch is connected.
- Swipe to the bottom of the page and go to Advanced settings.
- Tap on Account on your watch.
- Tap on Add account and follow the instructions. Keep the app open in the foreground while copying your account to the watch for faster execution.
For TAG Heuer Connected E3/E4 app :
- Check that the watch is connected.
- Go to the manu by tapping on the "..." section.
- Tap on Add Google account.
- Follow the instructions to connect your account.
5- General Troubleshooting: Reset and Re-Pair
If the above troubleshooting actions still don't work, or for any other issues, please perform a factory reset and re-pair your watch:
1. Reset your watch to factory settings:
- If your watch is not yet paired (you cannot see a watch face yet on your watch):
- Long-press the crown until the watch vibrates and open the settings.
- Tap on Disconnect and reset.
- The watch will restart.
- If your watch is paired:
- From the watchface, swipe down to open the Quick settings screen.
- Tap on the Settings icon at the top of the screen.
- Go to System > Disconnect & reset.
- The watch will restart.
For iOS users only: On your phone, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap on the information button (i) next to your watch name, on the right-hand side. Then, tap on Forget This Device and confirm. This operation is required to avoid causing problems every time you begin a pairing process.
2. Re-pair your watch:
- Open the relevant app (Wear OS by Google app for E3 and previous generations / TAG Heuer Connected app for E4, E5 and later generations).
- Tap on the menu icon Set up a new watch / Pair a new watch.
- Pair again by following the pairing process.
